CLAT 2025 notification on July 7, registration likely to begin in second week of July

Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has updated a notice on its official website which mentions that CLAT The 2024 advertisement will be released on July 7. Common Law Admission Test, CLAT 2025 will be held on 1st December 2024. Candidates will be able to check the result consortiumofnlus.ac.in,

The website reads, “CLAT 2025 advertisement is scheduled to be released in print/electronic media on 7th July 2024.” The CLAT 2025 notification will contain the exam date, eligibility, exam timing, admit card, syllabus, marking scheme, exam fee and other details.

The notice issued in May reads, “The Executive Committee and Governing Body of the Consortium of National Law Universities (“Consortium”) in their meetings held on April 26, 2024 decided that the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 2 PM to 4 PM. More details regarding the syllabus, application and counselling process will be released soon.”

CLAT 2025 Eligibility, Application Fee

Students who have passed class 12 with at least 45% marks (40% in case of SC, ST candidates) from a recognised board can apply CLAT ExamFor the PG programme, candidates must have passed LLB with minimum 50 per cent marks and 45 per cent marks for SC/ST applicants.

To apply, candidates from General, Other Backward Classes (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Non-Resident Indians (NRI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) categories have to pay Rs 4,000 as application fee. Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Below Poverty Line (BPL) applicants have to pay Rs 3,000.

The CLAT exam is conducted every year for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes offered by 22 NLUs and other participating institutes. For more details, visit the official website.
