CUET UG 2024: NTA will conduct the exam again if the complaint is found to be correct

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key of CUET UG 2024 today.

In the official notice, the exam conducting agency has specified that the agency will conduct an exam Re-test for CUET UG If any complaint raised by the students regarding the conduct of the exam is found to be true, then the exam will be conducted for the candidates from July 15 to 19.

Students have been given time till June 9, 5 pm, to raise objections against the provisional answer key provided and to raise complaints related to the CUEG UG 2024 exam, which is the gateway to undergraduate admissions to all central government universities.

The announcement comes more than a month after the NTA was embroiled in a controversy over the NEET UG 2024 result, which was released 10 days before the scheduled date. While the result of the medical entrance exam was already released and there were demands for it to be re-conducted, CUET The UG result has been delayed (as the due date was June 30).

The CUET UG exam was conducted in hybrid mode for the first time across the country, but was cancelled in Delhi a night before the exam citing logistics issues. A similar exam was cancelled at a centre in Kanpur where controversy erupted after the wrong question paper was distributed.

Festive offer

The NTA conducted the exam in pen and paper mode for 15 subjects and in computer-based mode for the other 48 subjects. This was done to reduce the normalisation process. This year, over 13.4 lakh candidates had registered for the exam.

The NTA has been facing criticism since June 4, when the NEET UG 2024 results were declared and several irregularities such as inflated number of top scorers, wrong questions and unfair grace marks and allegations of paper leak came to light. Since then, the NTA has also had to cancel or postpone other exams such as UGC NET, CSIR UGC NET and NCET. Following this, a high-level committee has been formed by the Centre to probe the functioning of the NTA while the CBI is probing the paper leak allegations.

Meanwhile, the Centre has also postponed NEET PG, and has now announced a new exam fate for the postgraduate medical entrance exam conducted by NBEMS.
