Indian students can now apply for visa to study in Poland online

All Indian applicants wishing to study in Poland from 2nd July 2024 must register their national study visa application through the e-consultation system.

As reported by Schengen.news, the Embassy of Poland in India has announced that based on the updated system, in the case of the Embassy of Poland in New Delhi, the appointment time for the application of the selected PPWW will be allocated according to the order of registration.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi and the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Mumbai informed us that a new system for registering applications for national study visas has been introduced.

30% of international students in Poland in 2023 will be from India

Last year, more than 10,000 international students registered in Poland, of which nearly 3,000 were from India. Indian students are interested in studying in Poland due to its high-quality education system, cultural diversity and remarkably affordable cost of living.

Polish authorities recently revealed that although Poland is a popular destination for Indian students, it has rejected nearly 18 per cent of Indian student visa applications.

The first type of visa that Poland issues to these students is the C-type (short-term), which is valid for up to 90 days, and is suitable for short courses or exchange programmes.

The other is called the D-type visa (long-term). This national visa can be renewed and is valid for more than 90 days, usually up to a year. Also, it is the most common visa for students enrolled in degree programs.

Cost of Studying in Poland

Polish universities boast the most competitive tuition fees in Europe, as the cost of studying in Poland is significantly lower than in other EU countries, typically ranging from 30 percent to 50 percent less. On the other hand, compared to the United States and the United Kingdom, studying in Poland can be up to 70 percent cheaper.

The cost of studying in Poland for Indian students varies depending on the program and the university. Tuition fees range from Rs 2 lakh ($2,395) to Rs 7 lakh ($8,383) per year. Meanwhile, living expenses, which include accommodation, food, transportation and personal expenses, average Rs 6 lakh ($7,183) per year.
