Mumbai University’s CDOE said while announcing the revised date there will be no change in the exam centre and venue for semester exams.

On Monday, the CDOE also rescheduled the exams scheduled for July 8. The July 8 exams will now be held on July 13 in the first part from 11 am to 2 pm.

Why Mumbai University Exams 2024 were postponed?

The decision has been taken at a time when Mumbai is grappling with incessant monsoon rains. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert, according to which heavy rains are expected throughout the day. The authorities have decided to close all schools in the city due to significant disruptions caused by the incessant rains.

The IMD forecast said waves as high as 4.40 metres are expected at 1:57 pm today, raising concerns of flooding and travel disruptions. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) schools, government schools and all private schools and colleges in Mumbai will also remain closed for the second academic session today to minimise disruptions and ensure the safety of students in view of the weather.
