In CBT, the exam can be conducted in multiple sessions. For these multi-session papers, a suitable normalization is applied taking into account any variation in the difficulty levels of the question papers in different sessions. The formula for calculation of normalized marks for multiple-session papers is given below …………… however Railway Administration reserves the right to modify the formula/ adopt different formula based on technical considerations.
In CBT, the exam can be conducted in multiple sessions (shifts). For these multiple-session papers, percentile score based normalization method will be used. In case of two or more candidates securing the same percentile score, the same marks to be used as detailed in Para 14.3 (Document Verification and Empanelment of candidates) of CEN RRC-01/2019 for deciding the qualifying position in the case prescribed existing norms. However, Railway Administration reserves the right to modify the formula/ adopt different formula based on technical considerations.

The first sentence of para 14.3 reads as follows.
Based on the performance of the candidates in the CBT, subject to their merit in the PET, the candidates 1.05 times (ie the number of additional candidates to be called for document verification will be 5%
more than the number of vacancies notified) the number of vacancies will be called for document verification as per their merit and choices.
The first sentence of paragraph 14.3 of Corrigendum and Amendment No. 2 is Now modified as follows.
Based on the performance of the candidates in the CBT subject to their merit in the PET, the number of candidates to be called for Document Verification (DV) will henceforth be equal to the number of vacancies notified (i.e. in the ratio of 1:1).

This will replace the previous Annexure “A” of CEN RRC-01/2019. The post parameters for various posts are laid down as per the medical standards prescribed in the Indian Railway Medical Manual (IRMM).
