RBI Grade B 2023 Eligibility
The candidate needs to fulfill the following criteria to get the post in RBI Grade B recruitment process. RBI Grade B eligibility requires candidates to fulfill certain criteria. They must have a bachelor’s degree with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade. The age limit varies on the basis of categories generally falling between 21 to 30 years. Additional qualifications such as a Master’s degree may also be considered. Before applying for the prestigious RBI Grade B Officer post candidates must ensure that they fulfill all the requirements.
RBI Grade B Eligibility 2023 – Nationality
(a) Candidates must be Indian Citizen.
(b) Subjects of Nepal or Bhutan
(c) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st day of January, 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement.
(d) a person of Indian origin who has come from Burma, Pakistan, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, or the East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia and Malawi with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Candidates belonging to Categories B, C and D must have a certificate of eligibility issued in their favor by the Government of India.
RBI Grade B Eligibility 2023 – Education Qualification (As on 01/01/2023)
(a) Officer in Grade ‘B’ (DR)-(General): Minimum 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PwBD) or equivalent grade in Bachelor’s degree as well as 12th (or Diploma or equivalent) and 10th standard examinations. The minimum qualifying percentage or equivalent grade for Bachelor’s degree shall be in aggregate for all semesters/years
(B) OFFICER IN GRADE ‘B’ (DR)-DEPR: Master’s Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course / Finance with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized Indian or Foreign University / Institute; OR PGDM/ MBA Finance with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in all semesters/ years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University/ Institute; OR Master’s degree in Economics in any sub-category of Economics i.e. Agriculture/Business/Developmental/Applied, etc., with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in all semesters/years from a recognized university Indian or foreign. University / Institute.
,c) OFFICER IN GRADE ‘B’ (DR)-DSIM: Master’s degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Mathematical Economics/Econometrics/Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade (sum of all semesters/years) OR Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in Mathematics or its equivalent grade for all semesters/years and One year Post Graduate Diploma in Statistics or related subjects from a reputed Institute or M State. Degree of Indian Statistical Institute with minimum 55% marks (aggregate of all semesters/years) or Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta with minimum 55% marks or all semesters /equivalent grade in aggregate of years.
RBI Grade B Eligibility Criteria 2023 – Age Limit (As on 01/01/2023)
The age limit for RBI Grade B Officer posts varies on the basis of categories. Generally, the age of the candidates should be between 21 to 30 years. However, there is relaxation for reserved categories like SC/ST, OBC, and PWD candidates, giving them additional years of upper age limit. The prescribed age limit under the recruitment drive is
- Lower age limit for candidates – 21 years.
- Upper age limit for a candidate – 30 years
